Well, here we are closing out another year. I’m sure many of you faced challenges in 2024. But if you’re reading this post, then you survived. It does not mean the difficult situations you faced are no longer an issue. It simply means that it did not destroy you. Some of the greatest triumphs follow the hardest battles. There isn’t a win unless there is a loss. Losing isn’t always defeat but a delayed victory. You made it this far and the race isn’t over. So put on your best running shoes and get ready to run into 2025 headfirst. You have gained the training you needed to move ahead to the next round. How do I know? Because you didn’t stop at the first hurdle. You kept going and didn’t stop.
24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 25 Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. -1 Corinthians 9:24-25
Despite the time it took for you to arrive at the finish line, you ran your race to the best of your abilities. There is no better feeling than to finally achieve your desired goals. Now is the time to reflect on all of your accomplishments. Celebrate your winning season, as well as those moments that you weren’t awarded the prize. It was in those times that you were developing your next move. Sometimes it takes time to get in position to gain the best advantage.
You already have the lead in life because there is a winner in you. 2025 has so many great things waiting for you and I’m personally cheering for you. I believe in your capabilities to achieve anything you set your mind to accomplish. Stay focused on your on race and set the pace that is comfortable for you. When faced with hurdles, don’t stop! Find the path that works best for you to reach your desired results. Take any necessary time to rest along the way so that you can fuel your mind and body for the journey ahead. Don’t get distracted by bystanders or critics along the way. Use them to be the fuel you need to power your next move. You already have the advantage!
